Swissmedic is pleased to announce the launch of Swissdamed, a new database designed to support the implementation of Swiss regulations for medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
The platform consists of two main modules and features a freely accessible search function.
Key Features:
- Actors Module: This module allows for the registration of companies and economic operators and will be available from August 2024.
- Freely Accessible Platform: Swissdamed also includes a public search function, accessible starting in August 2024.
- Devices Module: Currently under development, this module will enable device registration. Sections of the Devices module will be released in 2025, allowing voluntary registration of certain devices.
